What does this part cover?
Part 641 contains the Department of Labor's regulations for the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), authorized under title V of the Older Americans Act (OAA), 42 U.S.C. 3056
et seq., as amended by the Older Americans Act Amendments of 2006, Public Law 109-365. This part and other pertinent regulations set forth the regulations applicable to the SCSEP.
(a)
Subpart A of this part contains introductory provisions and definitions that apply to this part.
(b)
Subpart B of this part describes the required relationship between the OAA and the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA), 29 U.S.C. 2801
et seq. These provisions discuss the coordinated efforts to provide services through the integration of the SCSEP within the One-Stop delivery system.
(c)
Subpart C of this part sets forth the requirements for the State Plan, such as the four-year strategy, required coordination efforts, public comments, and equitable distribution.
(d)
Subpart D of this part establishes grant planning and application requirements, including grantee eligibility and responsibility review provisions that apply to the Department's award of SCSEP funds for State and national grants.
