Interested parties should submit written comments to the Regulatory Secretariat at one of the addressees shown below on or before June 17, 2013 to be considered in the formation of the final rule. 48 CFR Parts 4, 12, 22, and 52 DoD, GSA, and NASA are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to require the use of Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) codes, including North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) CAGE (NCAGE) codes for foreign entities, for awards valued at greater than the micro-purchase threshold. The CAGE code is a five-character identification number used extensively within the Federal Government. The proposed rule will also require offerors, if owned or controlled by another business entity, to identify that entity during System for Award Management (SAM) registration.
