This rule is effective March 13, 2013. 49 CFR Part 71 This final rule updates and amends the Department's standard time zone boundaries regulations to reflect changes that Congress made to the Uniform Time Act. The purpose of this update is to ensure that the Department's regulations accurately reflect other Federal law and to reduce confusion over ambiguous language and inconsistencies.
