L. 88–647, title III, § 301(14)(B),Oct. 13, 1964, 78 Stat. 1072, related to assignment of running mates to certain officers originally appointed as ensigns to active list of Navy and serving as staff corps officers at time of promotion to grade of lieutenant (junior grade).

L. 94–273, § 2(3), 90 Stat. 375, authorized President to suspend any provisions of sections 5651 to 5661 of this title during times of war or national emergency or during certain other times when specified conditions were found to exist.

Effective Date of Repeal

Repeal effective Sept. 15, 1981, see section 701 ofPub. L. 96–513, set out as an Effective Date of 1980 Amendment note under section 101 of this title.
