37 USC § 481c - Travel and transportation allowances: travel performed in connection with rest and recuperative leave from certain stations in foreign countries

Under uniform regulations prescribed by the Secretaries concerned, a member of a uniformed service who is serving at a duty station outside the United States in an area specifically designated for the purposes of this section by the Secretary concerned may be paid for or provided transportation for himself and his dependents authorized to reside at his duty station—

1998—Pub. L. 105–261, § 633(b)(1), substituted “rest and recuperative leave from certain stations” for “leave from certain stations” in section catchline.
Subsec. (b). Pub. L. 105–261, § 633(a), added subsec. (b) and struck out former subsec. (b) which read as follows: “The transportation authorized by this section is limited to transportation of the member, and of each dependent of the member, for one round-trip during any tour of at least 24, but less than 36, consecutive months or two round-trips during any tour of at least 36 consecutive months.”
1987—Subsec. (b). Pub. L. 100–26substituted “round-trip” for “roundtrip” and “round-trips” for “roundtrips”.
