Carrie is a JD candidate for the class of 2009 and a Managing Editor for the LII.  A native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, she spent the summer of 2007 interning for the Honorable Lawrence F. Stengel at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.  During the summer of 2008, she worked for the Community Federal Defender in Philadelphia.  In 2005, Carrie graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College with a BA in political science.  She then spent a year in Manhattan, working as a paralegal and investigative analyst at the New York County District Attorney's Office in Manhattan.  During her first year at Cornell, she was a 1L representative for the Public Interest Law Union and served as Vice-President during her second year.  She has also participated in Cornell's Public Interest and Capital Punishment Clinics.
