Lucienne is a J.D. candidate for the Class of 2010. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she came to the United States when she was seven-years-old and grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts. Lucienne graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2006 with a degree in English. Prior to entering law school, she worked at the Paul A. Dever Elementary School, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, with students suffering from social and behavioral disorders. She spent the summer of 2008 working in the Commerce Program of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and the summer of 2009 as a summer associate in the New York office of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres, and Friedman, LLP. During her time as a summer associate, Lucienne completed an externship with Mental Hygiene Legal Services-Bellevue, an agency that represents Bellevue Hospital’s psychiatric patients. During her leisure time, Lucienne enjoys reading novels, photography, and dancing.
