The acronym FSBO means “for sale by owner” (commonly pronounced fizz-bow). It is an expression used in the real estate market to indicate that the seller is directly selling its property without the intervention of a third party, such as a real estate agent. Although this may be a cost-efficient way to sell real estate, the seller must comply with all applicable regulations for selling real estate, like using the proper contracts and disclosing all legally required information regarding the property’s condition.
