§ 50.42 Additional standard for class 103 licenses.
In determining whether a class 103 license will be issued to an applicant, the Commission will, in addition to applying the standards set forth in § 50.40, consider whether the proposed activities will serve a useful purpose proportionate to the quantities of special nuclear material or source material to be utilized.

      The public comment period in the notice published on May 4, 2015 (80 FR 25237), is extended. Comments should be filed no later than October 1, 2015. Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the Commission is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date.
