The following are ALL rules, proposed rules, and notices (chronologically) published in the Federal Register relating to 16 CFR Part 305 after this date.
The Federal Trade Commission is correcting a final rule published in the Federal Register of September 15, 2016 (81 FR 63634). This document corrects provisions in the final rule related to ceiling fan labeling requirements.
The Commission issues final amendments to improve access to energy labels online and improve labels for refrigerators, ceiling fans, central air conditioners, and water heaters. The Commission is issuing these amendments to assist consumers in their purchasing decisions and ensure labels are consistent with Department of Energy requirements.
The Commission proposes amendments to the Energy Labeling Rule to require labels for portable air conditioners, large-diameter and high-speed small diameter ceiling fans, and instantaneous electric water heaters. Additionally, it proposes eliminating certain marking requirements for plumbing products.
The Federal Trade Commission (“Commission”) amends its Energy Labeling Rule (“Rule”) by publishing new ranges of comparability for required EnergyGuide labels on clothes washers.
