The following are ALL rules, proposed rules, and notices (chronologically) published in the Federal Register relating to 23 CFR Part 630 after this date.
Section 1303 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) authorizes the use of the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracting method. This final rule implements the new provisions in the statute, including requirements for FHWA approvals relating to the CM/GC method of contracting for projects receiving Federal-aid Highway Program funding.
Section 1303 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) amends 23 U.S.C. 112 to require the Secretary of Transportation to promulgate regulations as necessary to implement the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracting method. This NPRM initiates the formal rulemaking process to fulfill the legislative requirement and establish such regulations as are necessary for the FHWA's approval of projects using the CM/GC method of contracting.
