§ 1250.24 Will you accept a FOIA request through email?
Yes, send email FOIA requests to http://www.archives.gov/global_pages/inquire_form.html. You must indicate in the subject line of your email message that you are sending a FOIA request. The body of the message must contain all of the information listed in § 1250.20.

§ 1250.24 Does NARA accept electronic FOIA requests?

Yes. You may submit and track requests for NARA operational records through the FOIAonline program, accessible at https://foiaonline.regulations.gov, or by sending an email to FOIA@nara.gov. The body of the message must contain all of the information listed in 36 CFR 1250.20. You may also file a FOIA request by emailing your request to the offices listed in the table at 36 CFR 1250.22.
