SCS

Supplemental coverage from space (SCS). The provision of coverage to terrestrial wireless subscribers through an arrangement or agreement (see 1.9047 of this chapter) between one or more NGSO or GSO operator and one or more terrestrial wireless licensee(s), involving transmissions between space stations and SCS earth stations. NGSO and GSO operators and terrestrial wireless service licensees seeking to provide SCS must be authorized in compliance with 25.125.
