Small bank

Small bank means a bank, excluding a bank designated as a limited purpose bank pursuant to 228.26, that had assets of less than $600 million as of December 31 in either of the prior two calendar years. The Board adjusts and publishes the dollar figure in this definition annually based on the year-to-year change in the average of the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, not seasonally adjusted, for each 12-month period ending in November, with rounding to the nearest million.
