Large bank
Large bank means a bank, excluding a bank designated as a limited purpose bank pursuant to 228.26, that had assets of at least $2 billion as of December 31 in both of the prior two calendar years. The Board adjusts and publishes the figure in this definition annually, based on the year-to-year change in the average of the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, not seasonally adjusted, for each 12-month period ending in November, with rounding to the nearest million.
