Northeast Distant gear restricted area (NED) means the Atlantic Ocean area bounded by straight lines connecting the following coordinates in the order stated: 3500 N. lat., 6000 W. long.; 5500 N. lat., 6000 W. long.; 5500 N. lat., 2000 W. long.; 3500 N. lat., 2000 W. long.; 3500 N. lat., 6000 W. long.
