Depleted uranium
Depleted uranium means uranium having a percentage of uranium-235 less than the naturally occurring distribution of uranium-235 found in natural uranium (less than 0.711 weight percent uranium-235). It is obtained from spent fuel elements or as byproduct tails or residues from uranium isotope separation.
