Federal agency
Federal agency means an agency as defined at 5 U.S.C. 551 and further clarified by 5 U.S.C. 552(f). The term generally refers to the agency that provides a Federal award directly to a recipient unless the context indicates otherwise. See also definitions of Federal award and recipient.
