Local Indian Committee

Local Indian Committee means any committee established pursuant to 20 U.S.C. 7424(4), which provides that the committee must be composed of and selected by parents and family members of Indian children; representatives of Indian Tribes on Indian lands located within fifty miles; teachers in the schools; and if appropriate, Indian students attending secondary schools.
