COTP

Captain of the Port (COTP) means the local officer exercising authority for the COTP zones described in 33 CFR part 3. The COTP is the Federal Maritime Security Coordinator described in 46 U.S.C. 70103(2)(G) and also the Port Facility Security Officer as described in the ISPS Code, part A.
