Manufacturer
Manufacturer (i)In general. A manufacturermeans any manufacturer within the meaning of the regulations prescribed by the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for purposes of the administration of title II of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7521et seq.) and as defined in42 U.S.C. 7550(1). Except as provided inparagraph (b)(28)(ii)of this section, if multiple manufacturers are involved in the production of a vehicle, the requirements of section 30D(d)(3) must be met by the manufacturer that satisfies the reporting requirements of the greenhouse gas emissions standards set by the EPA under the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7521et seq.) for the subject vehicle.
