Gulf of America
Gulf of America means the same geographic area as the Gulf of Mexico, as that term is used in the text of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. This name change in the Chapter VI regulations does not result in any changes to, and has no effect on the applicability or enforceability of, the regulations.
