electric utility
(1) Definitions As used in this subsection: (A) Qualified energy conservation measure The term “qualified energy conservation measure” means a cost effective measure, as identified by the Administrator in consultation with the Secretary of Energy, that increases the efficiency of the use of electricity provided by an electric utility to its customers. (B) Qualified renewable energy The term “qualified renewable energy” means energy derived from biomass, solar, geothermal, or wind as identified by the Administrator in consultation with the Secretary of Energy. (C) Electric utility The term “electric utility” means any person, State agency, or Federal agency, which sells electric energy.
