unit of general local government
(20) The term “unit of general local government”— (A) means any city, town, township, county, parish, village, or other general purpose political subdivision of a State; and (B) includes a unit of general government acting as an applicant for assistance under this section in cooperation with a nonprofit housing sponsor and a nonprofit housing sponsor acting as an applicant for assistance under this section in cooperation with a unit of general local government, as provided under subsection (g)(1)(B).
