Action Plan for the Implementation of UNSCR 1325 “Women, Peace and Security” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as updated.
This Plan outlines Bosnia and Herzegovina’s strategy for the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace and Security,” which calls on member states to ensure the equal participation of women in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and decision-making at all levels. Notably, this is BiH’s fourth action plan, which builds upon its predecessors: the Action Plan for the period 2010–2013, the Action Plan for the period 2014–2017, and the Action Plan for the period 2018-2022. The plan continued to be updated and focuses on three key strategic goals. First, the development and oversight of policies and programs that promote equal gender participation in government positions. Second, the improvement of legal systems and mechanisms for human security, especially those that combat human trafficking and support victims of sexual violence. Finally, the third goal is to establish and strengthen partnerships that support the implementation of this Action Plan, which refers to coordination at regional and international levels, as well as cooperation with civil society organizations and the academic community. According to the Balkan Defence Monitor for Bosnia and Herzegovina this third plan expired in 2022. A new Gender Action Plan includes a section on Gender and Security. Ovaj Plan ocrtava strategiju Bosne i Hercegovine za provedbu Rezolucije Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a 1325 "Žene, mir i sigurnost," koja poziva države članice da osiguraju ravnopravno učešće žena u sprječavanju sukoba, izgradnji mira i donošenju odluka na svim nivoima. Važno je napomenuti da je ovo četvrti akcioni plan za Bosnu i Hercegovinu, koji se nadovezuje na je prethodnika: Akcioni plan za period 2010-2013, Akcioni plan za period 2014-2017 i Akcioni plan za period 2018-2022. Plan se kontinuirano ažurira i fokusira se na tri ključna strateška cilja. Prvo, razvoj i nadzor politika i programa koji promoviraju ravnopravno učešće spolova na vladinim pozicijama. Drugo, poboljšanje pravnih sistema i mehanizama za ljudsku sigurnost, posebno onih koji se bore protiv trgovine ljudima i podržavaju žrtve seksualnog nasilja. Konačno, treći cilj je uspostavljanje i jačanje partnerstava koja podržavaju provedbu ovog Akcionog plana, koji se odnosi na koordinaciju na regionalnom i međunarodnom nivou, kao i saradnju s organizacijama civilnog društva i akademskom zajednicom. Prema podacima Balkan Defence Monitora za Bosnu i Hercegovinu, ovaj plan je istekao 2022. godine. Novi Akcioni plan za rodnu ravnopravnost uključuje odjeljak o rodu i sigurnosti.
