Ala. Admin. Code r. 335-3-4-.10 - Primary Aluminum Plants
(1)
Applicability. This Rule applies to existing primary
aluminum plants which will or do operate for the purpose of or related to
producing aluminum metal from aluminum oxide (alumina).
(2)
Emission Limits.
The emission of particulate matter to the atmosphere from the baking of carbon
anodes and from the reduction process (potlines) of any primary aluminum
reduction plant shall not exceed twenty-two (22) pounds per ton of aluminum
produced on a daily basis.
(3)
Compliance. Each primary aluminum plant shall be in
compliance with the provisions of this Rule at the earliest possible date, but
not later than May 31, 1975. Nothing in this Rule shall negate the requirement
for obtaining permits or submitting compliance schedules as required by these
rules and regulations.
