Ala. Admin. Code r. 370-2-1-.04 - Buccal Cell Collection Procedures (Oral Swabs)

(1) The DNA specimen may consist of buccal cells collected by orally swabbing inside the donor's mouth using the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences DNA Database Swab Collection Kit and following the instructions set forth in the collection kit.
(2) The DNA Database Swab Collection Kit may be administered by any law enforcement or other designated official.
(3) The donor's identity will be verified by the collecting official by observation of an identification card with the donor's photograph affixed thereon or other appropriate means.
(4) The collection of the buccal specimen will be witnessed.
