Ala. Admin. Code r. 560-X-10-.15 - Nursing Aide Training
(1) A
nursing facility must not use (on a full-time, temporary, per diem, or other
basis) any individual as a nurse aide in the facility on or after October 1,
1990, for more than four (4) months unless the individual has completed a
training and competency evaluation program, or a competency evaluation program,
approved by the state and is competent to provide nursing or nursing related
services.
(2) The Alabama
Department of Public Health will be responsible for the certification of the
Competency Evaluation programs and will establish and maintain a nurse aide
registry.
