22 AAC 05.155 - Department manual

(a) The department will maintain a manual comprised of policies and procedures established by the commissioner to interpret and implement relevant sections of the Alaska Statutes and 22 AAC. The manual is entitled "Department of Corrections Policy and Procedure Manual."

(b) Those sections of the department manual which address the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of prisoners, except for those sections that might jeopardize the security or orderly administration of the facility if made available to prisoners, must be maintained in each facility law library and accessible to prisoners. The department manual, except for those sections that might jeopardize the security or orderly administration of the facility if made available, are available to the public upon written request and advance payment of a reasonable fee as determined by the commissioner.
