7 AAC 100.064 - Temporary absence from the state

(a) An applicant for or recipient of Medicaid benefits continues to be a resident of the state while the applicant or recipient is temporarily absent from the state if
(1) the applicant or recipient intends to return to the state when the purpose of the absence has been accomplished; and
(2) no other state has determined that the applicant or recipient is a resident of the other state for the purpose of receiving Medicaid or other public benefits.
(b) Nothing in this section alters the requirements under 7 AAC 105 - 7 AAC 160 for prior authorization and provider enrollment for a service provided out of state to be paid by the department.
