7 AAC 100.052 - Qualified aliens
(a) Medicaid eligibility for an alien is
based on whether the alien is a qualified alien or nonqualified alien,
regardless of the date of that alien's physical entry into the United
States.
(b) A qualified alien is an
alien who, at the time the alien applies for or receives a Medicaid benefit, is
(1) a qualified alien as defined in
8 U.S.C.
1641;
(2) a victim of a severe form of trafficking
in persons, and family members of the victim, who under
22 U.S.C.
7105 are eligible for Medicaid benefits to
the same extent as refugees described in
8 U.S.C.
1641(b)(3); or
(3) an Iraqi or Afghan alien, or the
dependent of that alien, who is granted special immigrant status under
8 U.S.C.
1101(a)(27).
