7 AAC 100.156 - Separating income from resources

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the department will consider money received by an individual included in the household to be income in the month it was received. If any of that money remains available to the household in the next month, the department will consider the remaining money a resource of the household.
(b) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the department will consider a cash payment made to an individual included in the household to be income only for one month. A cash payment becomes income on the first day it is available to an individual included in the household.
