The department will authorize emergency
shelter rates for a foster home that meets the requirements of
Emergency shelter rates are 125 percent
of the base rate for the age range set out in
and adjusted for
department will authorize emergency shelter rates only
(1) in an emergency situation in which less
than 24-hour notice was given to the foster parents before placement of a child
in the home; and
if the foster
parents meet the licensure requirements set out in 7 AAC 67.045
before, or at
the time of, emergency placement.
(d) The department will authorize emergency
shelter rates for no more than 10 days for a child in a foster home. However,
the department may extend the emergency shelter rates for up to a maximum of 30
days if the department determines that special circumstances exist that
necessitate emergency shelter for a longer period.
