02.04 WILD TURKEY SEASONS (2001-2002). It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take wild turkey other than during the open seasons as specified herein:

2002 Spring Wild Turkey Firearms, Archery/Crossbow Season:

April 1 - May 5, 2002 in Spring Turkey Zone 1 and 17.

April 1 - April 14, 2002 in Spring Turkey Zone 2.

Closed in Spring Turkey Zone 3

EXCEPTION:

(1) Reference Code 23.01 (Certain WMAs and WDAs Closed to Spring Turkey Hunting) and 23.02 (Turkey Season Restrictions on Certain WMAs.)

2001-2002Fall Wild Turkey Archery/Crossbow Season:

October 1, 2001 - February 28, 2002 in Fall

Archery/Crossbow Zone. Either-sex.

EXCEPTION:

(1) Reference Code 23.03 (Certain WMAs Closed for Fall

Archery/Crossbow Turkey Season) and 23.04 (Fall

Archery/Crossbow Season Restrictions on Certain WMAs.)

2001 Fall Wild Turkey Firearms Season:

October 10-16, 2001 in Fall Firearms Turkey Zone. Either-sex.

EXCEPTION:

(1) Reference Code 23.05 (Certain WMAs and WDAs Closed for Fall Firearms Turkey Season)

PENALTY: $200.00 to $1,000.00.

02.12 GAME ANIMAL DAILY BAG LIMIT AND POSSESSION RESTRICTIONS.

It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take more than the daily bag limit of any game species set forth by the Commission as specified herein: (Ref: Section 01.00 -C Bag Limit).

The possession limit shall not exceed two (2) daily bag limits or as otherwise specified herein:

(A) Deer:

(1) Individual seasonal limit of four (4) deer, no more than two of which may be legal bucks.

(2) Individual limit of one (1) deer with modern gun for holders of Resident Wildlife Conservation License (HNT).

(3) Deer camp antlerless tags do not apply toward an individual annual bag limit.

(B) Quail:

Daily bag limit 6, Possession limit 12.

(C) Rabbit:

Daily bag limit 8, Possession limit 16.

(D) Raccoon:

No daily bag limit.

(E) Squirrel:

Daily bag limit 8, Possession limit 16.

(F) Wild Turkey:

2002 Spring Gun - Archery/Crossbow: Individual limit of two (2) gobblers or bearded turkeys for spring season in Spring Turkey Zones 1 and 17; one (1) gobbler or bearded turkey in spring Turkey Zone 2. No more than one legal turkey may be taken per day, no more than one jake (sub-adult male) may be taken per season, and no more than two legal turkeys may be taken during the spring season in any combination of zones. 2001-2002 Fall Archery/Crossbow: Individual limit of one (1) either-sex wild turkey in Fall Archery/Crossbow Turkey Zone. 2001-2002 Fall Firearms:

Individual limit of one (1) either-sex wild turkey in the Fall Firearms Turkey Zone.

(G) Bear:

Individual annual limit of one (1) bear.

(H) Elk:

Individual limit of one (1) elk by permit only.

PENALTY: $150.00 to $1,000.00.
