Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 13, § 1094 - Certification
Wheelchair lift manufacturers shall certify compliance of individual models with this article as follows based upon tests conducted at their own or other laboratories:
(a)
Certification Label--The certification information shall be permanently imprinted on a part of each lift or on a label or metal plate permanently
attached to the lift. The certification shall be located so as to be visible when the lift is installed in the vehicle in accordance with the lift
manufacturer's instructions.
(b) Lettering--Lettering shall be at least 3.0 mm (0.12 in.) high.
(c) Required Data--The certification shall contain the manufacturer's name and address, model number, serial
number, month and year of manufacture, and the statement: "This wheelchair lift conforms to the California Code of Regulations requirements in effect
on the date of manufacture."
