Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 13, § 150.10 - Multiple County Use Notice
(a) To report multi-county use of a vehicle, the registered owner(s) shall submit a Statement of Multiple County
Use of Vehicle Form REG 6004 (REV. 10/2015), which is hereby incorporated by reference.
(b) The
registered owner(s) may provide the following information on Form REG 6004:
(1) If the owner(s) of the vehicle
resides in more than one county for more than 30 days in a calendar year, the address and county for each residential location;
(2) If the vehicle is used for business purposes in a county other than the county of registration, the county,
state, and the number of days per year per county of business use.
(c) If the registered
owner(s) reports either type of multi-county use, the registered owner(s) shall designate the county in which the vehicle is predominantly used
during the registration period.
(d) The department shall rely on the information provided on a REG 6004
when determining the length of time an owner(s) resides in or uses a registered vehicle in a county.
