Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 13, § 223.02 - Definitions

As used in this article the following definitions apply:

(a) "Applicant" means a private carrier of passengers applying as an original applicant for or a current holder of a private carrier of passenger's certificate.

(b) "Licensed to write that insurance in this state" as stated in Vehicle Code section 34687 shall be defined as an "admitted insurer" pursuant to Insurance Code section 700.

(c) For the purpose of this article, the terms "Private Carrier of Passengers Registration" and "Private Carrier of Passengers Certificate" shall be used interchangeably.
