If any provision of this subchapter, or any portion thereof, is adjudged to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, or if any provision of this subchapter, or a portion thereof, loses its force or effect as a result of legislative action, that judgment or action does not affect the remainder of the provisions of this subchapter.
