Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 70229 - Surgical Service Space
(a)
Hospitals shall maintain operating rooms as follows:
(1) Operating rooms shall have a minimum
floor dimension of 5.4 meters (18 feet) and shall contain not less than 30
square meters (324 square feet) of floor area.
(2) Cast rooms, fracture rooms and
cystoscopic rooms, if provided, shall have a minimum floor area of 17 square
meters (180 square feet), no dimension of which shall be less than three (3)
meters (11 feet) net.
