Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 22, § 71537 - Infection Control Program

(a) A written hospital infection control
program shall be adopted. The program shall conform to the guidelines contained
in Infection Control in the Hospital, 1974, published by the American Hospital
Association, 840 North Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611.
(b) A copy of the plan shall be available for
review by the Department.
(c) There
shall be a system of reporting of possibly acquired hospital infections to the
infection control committee.
(d)
The program shall be reviewed, evaluated and updated annually by the infection
control committee. A report of this review shall be available to the
Department.
