Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 9, § 7035 - Processing Referrals of Individuals to the Department
(a) The purpose of this section is to provide
standards for the prompt and equitable handling of referrals of individuals
made to the Department for vocational rehabilitation services, including
referrals of individuals made through one-stop service delivery systems
established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and by other
state units.
(b) The Department
shall provide all individuals referred to the Department with information
about:
(1) The application process and
requirements under Section
7041 of these regulations,
including the requirement that the individual provide the Department with
information necessary to initiate an assessment to determine eligibility and
priority for services as a condition of application;
(2) The basis for a determination of
eligibility and priority category in accordance with Section
7062 of these regulations;
and
(3) The Order of Selection
process as specified in Chapter 2, Article 2 of these regulations.
(c) The information specified in
(b) of this section shall be provided in writing to the potential applicant
and/or his or her authorized representative no later than 15 working days after
the initial contact from the potential applicant and/or his or her authorized
representative or from a third party referring the potential
applicant.
