Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 10, § 2698.95.11 - Determination and Criteria for Award of Grants

(a) Pursuant to Insurance Code section
1872.85(b) and
(c) , the Commissioner shall distribute funds
under this program to district attorneys who are able to show a likely positive
outcome that will enhance the prosecution of disability insurance fraud in
their jurisdiction. In order to obtain funds under this program, a district
attorney must submit an application pursuant to Insurance Code section
1872.85(b) .
(b) In determining to award a grant under
this program, the Commissioner shall consider the information provided in an
application and may consider the recommendations and advice of the Fraud
Division.
(c) Priority shall be
given to those grant applications which, in the determination of the
Commissioner, have the potential to have the greatest impact on disability
insurance fraud activity.
