Conn. Agencies Regs. § 12-574-A21 - Violations of rules and regulations
(a)
Liability. Any person or association licensed by the commission
violating any of these rules or regulations shall be penalties herein provided,
unless otherwise limited in and by the rules and regulations of the commission.
It is the duty and responsibility of all such persons and associations to know
these rules.
(b)
Penalties. The penalties for violation of the act or the rules of
the commission shall be as follows:
(1)
Denial, revocation or suspension of license.
(2) Monetary fines not exceeding $5,000 for
each violation and/or forfeiture of purse.
(3) Suspension from one or more activities at
one or more tracks.
(4) Expulsion
from racing in Connecticut.
(5) Any
combination of the above.
(c)
Right to hearing.
(1) Any person who claims to be aggrieved by
a decision of the stewards may appeal said decision to the commission in
accordance with these rules and the commission rules concerning "Rules of
Practice and Hearing Procedures".
(2) Whenever a matter has been referred to
the commission by the stewards or whenever the commission, on its own
initiative, shall determine to take cognizance of any alleged violation or any
other matter within its jurisdiction, or whenever a license granted by the
commission is to be suspended or revoked, an opportunity for a hearing in
accordance with the commission rules concerning "Rules of Practice and Hearing
Procedures" shall be afforded.
