Conn. Agencies Regs. § 12-574-A5 - Executive director
(a)
Appointment. The commission shall appoint an executive director of
the state racing division who shall be a resident of the state at the time of
and during the full term of his employment.
(b)
Racing division. The racing
division of the commission shall encompass the thoroughbred racing, harness
racing, greyhound racing and jai alai sections.
(c)
Powers. The director shall
have the power, and it shall be his duty to:
(1) Administer and coordinate the operation
of the racing division in accordance with the provisions of the act and with
the rules and regulations of the commission.
(2) Maintain full and complete records of the
operation of the racing division. These records shall be open to the public as
provided in section 1-19 of the 1969 supplement to the general
statutes.
(3) Report on a regular
basis to the executive secretary on the status of the racing
division.
(4) Perform those
functions assigned to him by the executive secretary.
