Conn. Agencies Regs. § 19-25d-6 - [Repealed effective 10/1/2025] Special requirements for mobile diagnostic radiographic equipment
(a)
Equipment
(1) All requirements
of section
19-25d-5
apply except subdivision (a) (5).
(2) The exposure control switch shall be of
the dead-man type and shall be so arranged that the operator can stand at least
six feet from the patient and well away from the useful beam.
(b)
Structural
shielding When a mobile unit is used routinely in one location, it shall
be considered a fixed installation subject to the shielding requirements
specified in sections
19-25d-3(c)
and
19-25d-5(b).
(c)
Operating procedures
(1) All provisions of subsection
19-25d-5(c)
apply except subdivision (2).
(2)
The target-to-skin distance shall be not less than twelve inches.
(3) Personnel monitoring shall be required
for all individuals operating mobile x-ray equipment.
