Conn. Agencies Regs. § 29-143j-5a - Approval by commissioner
(a) Before
approving any contest or exhibition the commissioner or such commissioner's
authorized representative shall inquire into the relative merits of the
contestants, such contestants' past records and whether or not they are
suitable opponents. The commissioner or such commissioner's authorized
representative shall have the discretion to disapprove any bout, contest or
exhibition on the ground that it is not in the best interest of boxing, mixed
martial arts or the health of either of the contestants.
(b) The commissioner or such commissioner's
authorized representative shall have the discretion to disapprove any combined
professional and amateur bout, contest or exhibition on the ground that the
bout, contest or exhibition is not in the best interest of boxing, mixed
martial arts or the health of the contestants.
(c) The promoter shall submit a certified
letter from the owner or manager of a facility registered under section
29-143j-22 a
of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies stating that the promoter is
approved to use the facility for a bout, contest or exhibition.
