Conn. Agencies Regs. § 38a-501a-5 - Prohibition against pre-existing conditions and probationary periods in replacement policies
If a short term care policy replaces another short term care or long term care policy or certificate, the replacing insurer shall waive any time periods applicable to pre-existing conditions and probationary periods in the new short term care policy for similar benefits to the extent that similar exclusions have been satisfied under the original policy or certificate.
