Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 375-3-3-.05 - Acceptance of Clinic Certificates for Reinstatement
(a) In order to be accepted for license
reinstatement or to avoid a pending license suspension, the certificate of
completion from a driver improvement program or DUI Drug or Alcohol Use Risk
Reduction Program must indicate that the course was taken and completed after
the violation date which caused the pending or active suspension.
(b) Customers seeking to avoid a license
suspension pursuant to O.C.G.A. §
40-5-75 for a conviction for
misdemeanor possession of marijuana by entering a plea of nolo
contendere must present a certificate of completion from an approved
DUI Drug or Alcohol Use Risk Reduction Program indicating the course was taken
and completed after the violation date and within 120 days of the date of the
conviction.
(c) Approval of any
clinic certificate except as set out herein must be made by the Commissioner or
his designee.
