Haw. Code R. § 17-678-7 - Rental deposit
(a) Rental deposits
to secure housing shall be provided, as incurred, not to exceed the following
amounts:

(b) Rental deposit shall be paid only once,
per family, after July 1, 1975.
(c)
When the initial deposit is less than the rental deposit maximum, an additional
allowance, as paid, equal to the difference between the first deposit and the
rental deposit maximum shall be provided.
(d) Another rental deposit, up to the rental
deposit maximum, shall be allowed when the recipient must move to another
dwelling because of the following reasons:
(1)
Housing is lost due to natural disaster; or
(2) The housing unit is condemned by a
governmental agency.
