Idaho Admin. Code r. 11.11.01.070 - HIGHER LEVEL CERTIFICATION
In addition to basic certification, the Council may issue higher-level certifications in recognition of additional training and experience to full-time officers already possessing a basic POST certification.
01.
Types of
Higher-Level Certification. In addition to basic certification, the
Council may issue the following:
a.
Intermediate certification for peace officers, detention officers, misdemeanor
probation officers, juvenile probation officers, juvenile detention officers
and emergency communications officers;
b. Advanced certification for peace officers,
detention officers, misdemeanor probation officers and emergency communications
officers;
c. Supervisor
certification for peace officers, detention officers and emergency
communications officers;
d. Master
certification for peace officers, detention officers and emergency
communications officers;
e.
Management certification for peace officers, detention officers and emergency
communications officers;
f.
Executive certification for peace officers.
02.
Requirements. In addition to
the requirements otherwise set forth in these rules, the following are required
for higher level certification:
a. An
applicant shall possess POST basic certification in the relevant discipline and
be a full-time employee of an agency.
b. An applicant shall attach to his POST
application all relevant transcripts, certificates, diplomas, degrees, course
outlines, or other documents not listed on the applicant's POST training
record, verifying his education and training.
c. The agency of an applicant for a
Supervisor, Management, or Executive certification must submit a job
description or other documentation verifying the applicant's duties.
